Deal of the week

Wild Salmon from the northwest is on sale at Whole Foods in Lafayette. I made a salmon tartare with lemon, wasabi, soy sauce, avocado, and red onion. Pictures soon.

Man it's hot

We've been in a drought situation over the last year, and it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. I'm tired of not being given complementary water w/o asking. How is any other patron not going to confuse this mandate with bad service? Also, water being such a scarce commodity has been on the lips of almost everybody around me. Why isn't more being done? If you really want to make an impact CA there needs to be more than just tiered water consumption pricing. There should be packages you can order for the max amount used. Like a phone voice plan. Pay as much as you need. Right now, there's been no action. You know what's happening...most environmentalist and lawmakers (state and federal) are too scared to make changes. The kind of changes like restructuring, building tunnels or pipelines for fear of cost. Yup, they're just weathering the storm hoping things get better. Then, when it gets worse they'll act. I think the people should vote on it.

Introduction

I don't know exactly how this all works, but I always wanted to write my thoughts in a journal type format, and not feel limited by words or peers. I think having an audience always keeps people from sharing details about their lives. I myself am pretty reserved despite what most people believe. A little about me:

I'm 30. I live at home. I currently have 2 cars. One is named Emil, that's my 2012 prius C, and another I just leased a couple of months ago, a 2014 silver BMW I3. No name for it, yet. I also don't have a college degree. I'm working on a certain math class that is the thorn in my foot. Don't judge it's really tough! I have a shetland sheep dog (sheltie) named Colby. He's 8 years old. And that's my life in a nutshell. One more thing, I'm pretty much happily single. I say "pretty much," because in practice, a relationship with me, is difficult.
